Head Plant Engineer opportunity with a growing textile regional company.
The Head Plant Engineer will be responsible to repair, maintain and optimize processing machinery from the boiler room to production floor equipment. The successful candidate must be a team player and execute daily work orders and PM tasks in a professional manner. Safety is a primary objective with compliance to all local, state and federal regulations. A skill assessment test will be given to prepare management on areas of strength and to identify opportunities for further training and career development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Electrical systems knowledge, ability to read schematics and use of voltmeter. Work safely with high voltage (480v) and well as control voltage. Trouble shooting skills to diagnose machinery problems. Experience with pneumatic systems from generation to process use on machinery. Understanding of hydraulic components, flow and pressure. Repair machinery in accordance to manufacturer’s specifications. Experience with gas or oil-fired boilers Implement and develop a personal growth path to learn additional engineering and technical skills for career advancement. PLC logic and basic programming. Welding and Stick, TIG, MIG or Oxygen

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for all elements of the Quality Management System to accurately interpret how they apply across the OH plants and assigned quality department staff.

 

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

Certified QMS Auditor, responsible for reporting performance indicators and concerns to management Coordinate the training of internal auditors, ensure QMS internal audits are scheduled, executed and closed with all related corrective actions. Report on the status of internal audits to management as required. Participate in plant continuous improvement projects

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor of Science degree in Quality Systems, Operations or related field. ASQ Certification 5 Years’ experience of overseeing the ISO Quality Management System. Knowledge of quality systems, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, SPC, and Control plans. Demonstrated experience working with Lean initiatives, 8D root cause analysis, correction action planning, Poke Yoke.

Plant Managers are responsible for:

Maintain individual and department performance at established standards
Supervise up to five (5) Production Supervisors and all plant employees

Our client is part of the largest group of commercial hospitality laundry service providers. 

Chief Engineer needs the ability to repair, modify, and rebuild, all dry cleaning and laundry equipment. 

Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic controls, rebuild pumps, valves, regulators, and have an excellent understanding of steam and boiler systems. 

Must have Washer & Steam experience. 

Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and utilize a variety of testing equipment for troubleshooting of equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

The ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of efficiency is a MUST! 

Desired Qualifications: 5 years experience servicing dry cleaning machines, presses, tunnel washers and boiler equipment. Technical or on-site training in electronics, electricity, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems related to dry cleaning plants.

Job Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising work in the Production Department. Performs other duties as required and reports to the General Manager or Operations Manager.

Essential Functions:
- Monitors and ensures implementation of recommended changes in work methods and/or equipment usage to improve labor utilization, production efficiency and department expenses.
- Leads, trains, and supervises the Production staff and departments.
- Responsible for overseeing all new hire training and conducts regular and ongoing training in all departments.
- Consults with engineering, sales and service management to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
- Responsible for execution of company production policies, procedures and standards.
